Values

At Countryside we Value…

  1. A Biblically Centered Life (Psalm 119:11; 2 Tim. 3:16-17)

The Bible is the foundation of our faith, daily living, preaching and teaching.

  1. Godly Servant-Leadership (Matthew 20:26-28; Phil 2:1-11; 1 Tim. 3:2-13; 1 Cor 11:1)

Leading after the model of Jesus is paramount because everything rises and falls on godly leadership.

  1. Prayer (1 Thess. 5:16-18; Eph. 6:10-18; Matt. 6:5-15)

Calling on the wisdom and power that only God can offer to have a maximum impact in our lives is a privilege and an obligation.

  1. Extending Grace to All (Matt. 25:31-46; James 2:1-9; Eph. 4:29-30)

God uses us as His instrument of favor to the poor, outcast, the oppressed, and those in need of forgiveness and friendship both within and outside our church family.

  1. Evangelism (Matt. 28:18-20; Rom. 10:14-15)

God loves people- therefore we love people- in its fullest expression, love means inviting others to love God as well, responding in faith to the good news that God loves them.

  1. Local and Global Mission Involvement (Matt 28:18-20; Matt 24:14; Acts 1:8; Rev. 7:9)

Fulfilling Jesus’ command to take the good news of a relationship with God to everyone we can and partnering with those that go where we are not.

  1. Discipleship (John 15; Luke 9:23-27; John 8:31-32)

Discipleship is follower-ship.  It is the process of growing every day to be a more faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

  1. Christian Education 2 Tim. 2:15; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Acts 17:11)

God invites us into a relationship that includes our intellect and He challenges us to grow and learn all we can about Him and His Will for our lives.

  1. Community Care (Acts2:43-47; James 2:14-17; 1 John 3:16-19)

Loving one another like God loves us is a biblical mandate that builds an attractive fellowship to be a part of.

  1. Inspiring and Creative Worship (John 4:23-24; James 2:14-17; 1 John 3:16-19)

God is honored when we express creatively our love for Him- and others are attracted to a God so passionately praised.

  1. Inclusive Contribution (1 Cor. 12; Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Peter 4:10)

Every Christ-follower is gifted to add to the ministry and finds fulfillment in service.

  1. Responsible Stewardship (1 Cor 4:2; Matt. 25:21; 1 Tim 6:17-19; Matt 6:19-21; 2 Cor 9:10-11)

As an organization and individuals it is our solemn responsibility to use all of our resources of time talents and treasure for the greatest advantage to advance God’s Kingdom purpose for Countryside Christian Fellowship.

  1. Inviting Atmosphere (Rom 14; 1 Cor 10:31; Gal 5:1; James 2:1-5)

All should feel welcome before God.  Therefore we do not stress formal dress or appearance.  Liberty should be extended in areas of non-critical belief.
